Course Description:
This online training provides an overview of the Mental Healthcare Assistant role and responsibilities. It is designed to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge required to work in the field of mental health. The training covers various aspects of mental health care and provides insights into the most common mental health conditions.
The course duration is flexible as it is e-learning training with no time restrictions. Participants can learn at their own pace and complete the multiple-choice assessment test when they are ready.
The course content includes understanding the role of a mental health care assistant, professional boundaries, working in partnership with others, communication skills, equality and inclusion, risk assessment, care plans, mental health code of practice, and the Mental Capacity Act 2005. Participants will also learn about common mental health conditions such as anxiety, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, schizophrenia, clinical depression, bipolar disorder, stroke, and epilepsy.
After successfully passing the assessment, a student will receive a certificate.
