The Basic Nursing Skills Training is a comprehensive online training that covers the same units as the Zoom classes without any time restriction. It is designed to provide participants with the essential skills and knowledge required to become successful care assistants or support workers in the healthcare industry. This course is ideal for those who are new to the industry or have taken a break from work and would like to refresh their skills.
The course covers a range of topics, including essential standards, the duty of care, communication, privacy, and dignity, as well as awareness of mental health, dementia, and learning disabilities.
Students will learn how to take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiratory rate, and glucose testing using a finger stick. They will also be trained in urine/stool collection and sampling, taking weight, height, and BMI calculation, infection control, and completing patient observation charts.
Upon completion of the course, participants will take an online assessment that will test their knowledge of the course content. Successful candidates will receive a certificate of completion.
The course fee is £199.00. As this is an online course, it is open to candidates from various locations and countries.
